These chemigrams and shadow grams where produced in a dark room with better equipment than last time. I used objects such as ripped paper from newspapers, film frames, camera lens, fan, paperclips, coins, plastic, and wire. I exposed the photo paper to light with my objects on top for about 8 seconds before putting the paper into the processor liquid, for a minute. I experimented with putting my chemigram image onto of photo paper and then expose it with light for about 10 seconds which caused the opposite to happen, creating a shadow or negative image to the original.
The image with the hand I created by placing my hand on the paper for about 7 seconds and then moving it slightly to the side for about 2 seconds which created a lighter negative shadow of my hand.
I started to experiment using only water to produce the following.
Using a brush I created white paint like strokes across the page. I preferred the effect created using water also as until the photo has developed, the outcome cannot be predicted.
